* My mom is a true believer. She thinks the Angels have a ghost’s chance in hell of beating the Yankees and getting to the world series. I think she’s crazy. As much as it makes me want to vomit in my mouth a little, the Yankees are clearly the front-runners to win the world series. Oh sweet bloody hell, I think a bolt of lightning just zapped me dead. I can’t finish this thought. I just hope I jinxed them by saying that. *fingers crossed*

* First of all, I know this show is scripted and stupid and most of the people on it are nitwits. That being said, I just have to post some observations and get them out there so they aren’t rattling around in my head anymore. 1 – Since when have Kristin and Spencer’s bimbo bartender been BFF? Suddenly they’re hanging out all the time and the show never bothers to explain why. WTF? 2 – How awkward are those scenes with Audrina, Lo and Stephanie? There’s no good reason that combo would ever be together. Over the years, Lo was never around anyone unless Lauren was there. Come on, MTV. We know it’s not real-real, but still.

Nobody gives a rat’s ass if you quit Twitter. While we’re on the subject, stop deleting your Twitter and then changing your mind and creating a new one. That’s stupid. Assuming anyone cares about you enough to follow you twice, it’s still an extra step that you shouldn’t force your fans to take. If you say something on Twitter that makes you sound like a nitwit, just realize that you can never get it back. You must live with it being “out there” like all the times you drunk dialed celebrities more famous than you from Paris Hilton’s Sidekick. If you do decide to leave though, just go away quietly. Don’t put out a press release or in any way advertise your departure… and for the motherfreakin love of James Posey and all that is holy, don’t produce a rap video about it.

You want to play them? That’s chutzpah! Actually, he’s exactly what those sorry ass Jets needed. * I know this is a stupid story and I keep reporting on it like it’s interesting, but to me, it really is fairly fascinating. When I’m not watching professional sports, I’m usually watching reality television on either Bravo or E! Sure, that might be lame, but you will rip the latest episode of The Rachel Zoe Project from my cold dead hands! Anyway, I am currently up-to-date on Khloe & Kourtney Take Miami on E! So I’m quite sure that I know way more than I should about the sisters Kardashian and their love lives. It always amazes me when people get married after knowing each other only a month or a few months. The odds of it working out forever are not good. NFL Musings

I had to share that “Brady Come Back” video with all of my coworkers within earshot today. It makes me giggle every time I watch it. We’re out of the playoffs… might as well enjoy ourselves in the off-season. Someone asked me who I thought was going to win the Superbowl now. My reply, “I don’t give a rat’s ass. BRADY COME BACK!” Sigh.

The Pats blanked the Bills today, 13-0 and still missed the playoffs. My sister informed me that I was going to “have to” root for the Jets today and her boyfriend Brett Favre. Mmm yeah. No. That was not going to happen. No way, no how. I did not root for the Jets or the Dolphins. I just watched. Watched the Jets lose the game, thus eliminating themselves and the Patriots from the playoffs. I’m sure there’s a sense of perverse satisfaction for the Jets fans being able to hold the Pats future in their sad little hands (can’t blame ‘em). So now that that’s over, we get to endure “Brett Favre retirement watch” all over again. Sweet mother of shamrocks. Final note, where’s the fire Favre? Why did you run off the field like a couple dobermans were chasing you? No time to say, “good game” to poor old kicked-to-the-curb Chad, huh?

Wow, those 76ers sure can run. Especially without Elton Brand. For a little while, early in the game, I thought the fast break transition game was going to be a problem. Silly me. The C’s broke away in the 2nd half and put this one away early and easily. The [other] love of my life, Leon Powe, was named ‘Player of the Game’. It’s too bad I didn’t pick this game to go to with my awesome sign. *wink*

History was made. Best NBA start and franchise winning streak. Personally, I’m getting sick of hearing about winning streaks. The last time I got caught up in a winning streak, the Giants ripped my heart out and stole my Superbowl ring. (haha) So let’s just stop talking about it.

Get out those ‘Beat LA’ t-shirts people because D-day is upon us! Although… no offense to anyone, but I worry more about playing the Hawks. I guess I’m just not drinking the kool-aid yet when it comes to the Lakers. It has nothing to do with being a Celtics fan either. If I thought the Lakers were the team to beat in this league, I’d admit it. At this point, I don’t think so. They still need to tweak some things. Mostly between the ears. Kobe is fine. Never anything to worry about with him. It’s everyone else that I wonder about. They’re close, but I don’t think they could beat the Celtics in 7 at this point. Tomorrow’s game isn’t 7 though, it’s just one — and it’s in Lakerland — so who knows. Who am I worried about then? Maybe the Cavs. They’ve been looking better and better lately and with Lebron on the court, anything can happen. I’m looking forward to the teams meeting again so I can assess how they stack up.

NBA: Allen Iverson to the Pistons? Billups to Denver? I did not see that coming. I will have to visit my favorite Pistons blogs to see how that news is going over.

Patriots: I couldn’t watch. Based on all the post-game analysis I’ve listened to today, I’m glad I didn’t. *sigh* Also, there is just something that still frosts my cookies every time Adam V. (too lazy to Google the last name for correct spelling) kicks a game winner against the Pats. Grrrr.

Manny: Latest from the worldwide leader has spawn-of-Satan uber-agent Scott Boras sitting down with the Dodgers to haggle over Mannywood’s services. I’m still crossing my fingers for the Yankees. Something about putting Manny and A-Rod together into the utlimate haterade sandwich would just make my life complete.
