Holy crap on a Trisquit, this week has been one long and painful clusterfuck… not gonna lie. I won’t bore you with the full details, but basically it comes down to me having a royal bitchfit at my web hosting company and cancelling my account. I pondered going with a whole new domain name for a few days and then decided to just suck it up and make this work. Stayed up until 2:00am est last night getting my SQL databases moved and restored. Blah blah blah. Who cares? Nobody. I’m just sharing the news with you though, in case you notice any broken links or images. I’ll be working on cleaning that up in the coming weeks.
Meanwhile, I promise that tonight tomorrow night, I will actually post something new. About sports. It pains me that I missed being able to snark about Serena Williams threatening to shove a tennis ball where the sun don’t shine on some poor innocent line judge and other fun sports fodder. But, as they say on MTV in their promos for The Hills: The bitch is back, baby!

A few months ago, I had the bright idea to change the name of this blog from “inane musings” to “nba musings” because it occured to me that my thoughts and opinions weren’t any more inane than anyone else’s (not to mention that I found it disturbing that people were finding my site through Google searches on “insane musings”) and most of my blog posts were about the NBA. Made perfect sense at the time. Now, I realize I’ve penned myself in and my offseason musings on Chad Ochocinco and the like don’t make as much sense being on a supposedly NBA-focused blog. I considered changing the name of the blog for a 3rd time, but decided against it since it would require another Twitter username change, new Gmail address, blah blah blah. The world (or the 3 of you who read my blog) will just have to live with my cockeyed blog naming fail.
Anyway, when I changed the name to nbamusings.com, I had no idea how to export my WordPress databases so I created an alias domain so I wouldn’t have to bother with it. That means that this blog appears currently on inanemusings.com and nbamusings.com. But the point of this post and yes, there really is one – is that soon this blog will only appear on nbamusings.com. I exported my databases and am praying that when the two blogs are severed like the proverbial siamese twins that I’ll be able to upload the last year and half worth of musings. So, please update your bookmarks, blogrolls and RSS subcriber settings to nbamusings.com because soon inanemusings.com will be kaput.
Just a quick note to let one and all know that I’m going to be on hiatus for the next few days to a week. No! Stop crying.. back away from that ledge. I’ll be back!

I’m changing my username and the name of my blog from “inanemusings” to “nbamusings”. Not a big change, but I like it better. I signed up for a domain alias so this site will show up both here and there, so it should be a seemless transition. I know it can be annoying updating links and whatnot when people just up and change their handles like this, but for me, it’s worth it. I’m sure my warblings will be as inane as ever, but since I blog about the NBA 99% of the time, a name change just seems right. I’m trying this design again. Mostly because I had the whole day off from work (which NEVER happens) because of a snowstorm (gotta love New England, or not) and had time to mess with it. I know it wasn’t popular with everyone because you can’t view the posts on one page, but give it a chance. I like the widgets. I’m going to tweak the design more to have more of a sports feel. The swirls aren’t doing it for me. Update: Ok, the swirls are gone and I’m going with a Celtics background. I know I need to show some love to Perk, Big Baby, etc. which I will do as soon as I have a chance. This will do for now. And no, Starbury won’t be in the new background whenever I get to it…
Ok, the masses have spoken. 
Besides, that theme would’ve been a pain in the *bleep* to maintain anyway.
I purchased a premium WordPress theme because I wasn’t super happy with the free offerings. I’ll be tweaking this for the next few days, so if you see anything wacky don’t be alarmed…
